Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide high-quality psychiatric care through telehealth. The provider will conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose and treat mental health conditions, manage medications, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide ongoing follow-up care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Diagnose and treat a range of mental health and psychiatric conditions.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications as clinically appropriate.
- Develop individualized treatment and care plans.
- Conduct follow-up and medication-management appointments.
- Monitor patient progress, treatment outcomes, and medication side effects.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation.
- Assess patients for safety risks and coordinate emergency or higher-level care when necessary.
- Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, telehealth, prescribing, and applicable state regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active PMHNP/APRN license in applicable state(s).
- Current PMHNP-BC certification.
- Valid prescribing authority and DEA registration, where required.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing.
- Experience in psychiatry, mental health, or behavioral health preferred.
- Previous telepsychiatry experience is a plus.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a virtual environment.
